Co-Op Canada coupon policy

This is the Co-Op Canada coupon policy (I received this response when I asked them about coupon acceptance in their stores):

With regard to our coupon policy, the basic rules are as follows:

  • We accept Canadian coupons that are within the stated expiry date and include the dealer information. Coupons will only be accepted for the item specified.
  • There is a limit of one coupon per item.
  • We do accept internet printable coupons as long as they fall within the expiry date, contain a Canadian clearing house address and are for a product that Co-op sells.
  • We accept competitor’s coupons as long as they fall within the expiry date, are an actual coupon that can be brought to our location and are for a product that Co-op currently carries.

Thanks so much for posting this. I shop the Co-op from time to time since it is not far from me. When I had asked the front counter, they hadn’t heard of a coupon policy. And I hadn’t thought of emailing them… Now I have it. 🙂

Good to know! They do offer some really good deals! Purex this week for $3.99-$3 coupon…and Oasis juice boxes $1.11-$1 coupon!

I was at a local co-op today and I was told by the manager that they DO NOT accept printable coupons. I had some printable coupons for Janes chicken nuggets with a CLEAR CANADIAN ADDRESS ans she would not accept them. I do not live near a co-op so I was unaware of their policy so I couldnt really argue with her,,,,haha, when I came home and looked up the policy, this is what I found….She should have accepted them!
    Wish I didnt live 2,5 hours away……

Thanks for posting this. I had the Cottonelle coupon denied today because it was a printable internet coupon. It was a real hassle. I have an email in to head office.

Thank you for posting since I am just starting out and Co-op is our main grocery store as our town and they have very good sale prices every weeks

Is there a double coupon day at the Co op?

  9. Cassie Howard

Shelly: The only place I have seen double coupon days in Canada is at Pharmasave.

Tried using a printable Web Saver today at my local Co-Op and was told they don’t take printed coupons because the “company doesn’t accept them”, even though I told them I got the coupon directly from the Company’s Facebook promotion (Butterball).

I was just wondering if they have updated their policy now since the coupon app came out, I’m wondering if you can you a coupon along with a coupon from the app, I emailed them, let’s see what they say

Birtle Coop Birtle MB I show the till manager the coupon for a free Parmision cheese with the purchase of $75.00 on the coop coupon app Their response is our store doesn’t carry that, with no attemp to sustitute another brand. I find this unacceptable. What is the purpose of the App?

A co op is the only grocery store in my community and refuses to accept any coupons what so ever.
