Every time I turn around someone is going on and on about the iPhone 5.
Someone bought it, someone pre-ordered it, someone is mad because they can’t get it. It’s so cool, it’s too much money, it’s this and that.
What is the big deal?
It’s just a phone! I have an iPhone 4 and as much as I love it, I wouldn’t die without it, and I certainly don’t feel the need to upgrade to the new iPhone 5.
As my friend Kerry once asked, do you really need that upgrade?
For me, the answer is no. For my friend that smashed her screen in and needs to replace her phone anyway, maybe her answer is yes.
When I was out the other day, I saw dozens of people waiting in a line to pre-order their fancy new iPhone 5. Waiting in line – for a phone!
I don’t get it.
Can someone exlain what the big deal is? Why do people willing fork over hundreds of dollars for a phone every time a new version is released?
Maybe I’m just a technophobe.
