I was given $50 to spend at any retailer I wanted, and I chose Walmart because, well – I’m kind of boring and needed some household supplies! But hey, if I can earn rewards while shopping, I might as well chose a store I was going to shop at anyway. You know I’m an advocate for spending the bulk of your money on needs, not wants!
I went through the CAA eRewards store and bought 2 6-packs of paper towels, 2 pails of cat litter, some paper plates for camping (err… cottaging), dishwasher tabs, and some Ziploc produce bags.
My package arrived a few days after I ordered everything.
Here are all my goodies (not including the cat litter, which was opened right away and dumped in the litter boxes!):
I don’t know when my CAA points will arrive on my card, but I’ve heard from a few friends that it can take a few months for them to show up. Since I shop at Walmart online (as well as some other retailers in the CAA eRewards store) often, my points are just going to keep accumulating – and hopefully next year I’ll have earned enough points to renew my CAA membership for free!
Note: Although I was compensated for my shopping trip, all opinions in this post are my own.
