Earn Free Stuff Just For Scanning Your Groceries!

Free Stuff from Neilson Homescan

You have to grocery shop anyway – why not get rewarded for shopping? And no, I’m not talking about using coupons! I’m talking about scanning your groceries. That’s right – scan your groceries and get free stuff! And nope, it’s not too good to be true. It really works!

Neilson Homescan Comsumer Panel is a rewards program that allows you to earn free rewards and when you scan groceries. Free rewards just for scanning my groceries? Yes, please!

How it works:

  1. Neilson Homescan will send you a hand-held scanner designed to read bar codes on items that you buy. It only takes a few minutes to scan before putting your purchases away.
  2. Then, once a week, the scanner transmits your purchase data to them (free of charge).
  3. You send them your information: you earn valuable gift points. Those points are redeemable toward great thank you gifts offered in their catalogue.

Simple right? Receive a scanner, scan all of your groceries (everyone in your house can use it!), earn prizes! If you’ve applied before and been denied, you can try again.

Simply go here to apply to join this program!

Your links redirect to Movie Streamer, not the Nielson application.

Is there a link to the catalogue or Point system? To see if it’s worth it?

This is the biggest pain in the butt if you use coupons. If you don’t use coupons at all, then this Nielsen scanner is for you. You get $20 when you send the scanner back to them though lol

  4. Linda

Yes, I used to do it too. It got to be too much after a while. It was fun for a bit though.

  5. Jan

Linda, can you tell us more about it since you used it before? How long did you use it for before you decided it was “too much”. I would be interested in reading your comments about this. Thanks.

I signed up a month or two ago and was excited because they had a promotion going where you could get $15/month for participating but I opted out without getting anything because they sent me 2 faulty scanners in a row. If the company can’t test their equipment before they send it out to participants then I don’t have time to deal with them.

I have been a member about 8 months now. It is really not that hard to do, and I have been getting my $15 visa gift cards as promised. It is something on the side, and of fun too.
