Caddle Review: Get Ready to Earn With This Cash Back App for Canadians

Caddle is an app that pays you cash in the form of rebates when you shop, and for answering online surveys, watching video ads, writing reviews and engaging with brands. It’s available as a free download on iPhone and Android devices and is very easy to use. It’s a Canadian company, which ensures that the product offers featured in the app will almost always be available where you live. In this review, I’ll take you through the app, show you how to get set up so you can start earning money right away. Ready? Let’s go!

Getting Started With Caddle

Signing up with Caddle is easy. To get started, you’ll need to download the app for your iPhone or Android device, enter your name and email address, and create your password. From there, Caddle will send you an email to confirm your registration and activate your account.

To kick things off, you’ll be asked to complete a short survey (that pays you $.50) which gathers info related to your personal demographics, interests, and spending habits. With this information, Caddle can ensure that you are sent offers and survey topics that fit your lifestyle.

How the Caddle App Works

Every Thursday, Caddle uploads fresh offers to your account. These include paid surveys, video ads, and cash rebate offers on select retail products. All offers are visible on the Caddle home screen. Let’s take a closer look at the various ways you can earn money with Caddle.

Completing Paid Surveys

Each week, Caddle will load new surveys into your account. The first thing you’ll notice is how short the surveys are. Unlike other paid survey sites, Caddle surveys are between 3 and 8 questions, with each one taking only seconds to complete. As soon as each survey is finished, funds are added to your Caddle account. Surveys range anywhere from $.05 to $1 each, reflecting the length and time to complete.

In my first 10 minutes using the Caddle app, I was able to earn $4.80, which included a $2 bonus I assume was for signing up. The first survey was worth $1, the next two paid $.50, and the remaining surveys paid between $.05 – $.25. Each survey was 1-8 questions, and most took no more than 30 seconds to complete. So, while the payouts per survey are very small, they require little to no effort.

Redeeming Store Offers

Caddle products offers can be redeemed when you shop at almost any store in Canada. Some offers are limited to a specific retailer, like Amazon, or Costco. There’s no need to scan any coupons or online codes when you shop, simply purchase the product that’s attached to the offer. From there, take a picture of your receipt, and upload it into the Caddle App. Your receipt will be verified within 72 hours or so, and the rebate applied to your Caddle account balance. Rebates range between $1 and $5.

My initial product offers included Life cereal, Pepsi products, baby wipes, cold medication, craft beer, and a number of other grocery related items. Beside each product was the cash rebate amount. I was somewhat disappointed that most of the offers were for products I would rarely ever buy. It’ll be interesting to see if the offers improve over time. I may pick up the Life cereal for a quick $2.

Watching Video Ads

When I first downloaded the app, there were no offers to watch ads. Caddle states that the frequency and length of the videos presented will depend on the advertising needs of their various partners. Most video ads are less than a minute long. As soon as you view an ad in its entirety, payment will be credited to your Caddle account.

Referring A Friend to Caddle

You can increase your Caddle earnings by referring friends and family. Both you and a friend will earn a $1 bonus as soon as they sign up and complete one qualifying offer. Caddle provides every member with a unique referral code (mine is MAPLEMONEY), which they can send to someone via email or text within seconds. Imagine if you were to refer just 5 new friends every month, that’s $5 extra dollars in your Caddle account.

When Do I Receive Payment from Caddle?

Caddle makes it easy to get paid. As soon as you’ve accumulated $20, you can request payment from Caddle. To do so, select ‘Account’ on the app, then press the red ‘Cash Out’ button. You can’t miss it. From there, Caddle will mail you a cheque with your earnings, and the process starts over again.

Check-in Thursdays

I’m not sure if Caddle has a name for this, but they should. To get the most from Caddle, you definitely want to check-in to the app every Thursday. That’s the day that Caddle refreshes the app with new offers, including surveys, video ads, and product rebates. Because the offers are only on for a limited time, it’s a good idea to see what’s available as soon as they are uploaded.

Caddle Pros and Cons

There is a lot to like about Caddle. For starters, I love how easy the app is to use. Most of the functions are clearly marked on the home screen, along with your current account balance, which is updated as soon as you fulfill an offer. While most of the surveys pay less than $1, each one can be completed in a matter of seconds. In my first 10 minutes on the app, I’d earned $2.60 in surveys alone, more than enough to pay for my morning coffee at Tim’s.

Perhaps my only real complaint is that very few of the store items listed are for products that I would actually buy on a regular basis. That limits the amount of money I can make each week. Of course, I’ve only had the app for a short period of time, so perhaps the product offers will improve over time.

Pros

  • Free to join, start earning within minutes
  • App is intuitive and easy to use
  • Surveys take less than a minute to complete
  • Low payout minimum of $20
  • Offers refreshed weekly
  • $1 referral bonus

Cons

  • Product offers don’t match spending habits
  • Low payout per survey

Final Thoughts on the Caddle Cash Back App

Whenever I write about paid survey sites or cashback apps, I always point out the fact that they’re not going to make you rich. While Caddle claims that you can earn up to $20/hour using their app, there are limits on the number of offers you can fulfill each week. If you want to maximize your earnings, the easiest way is by signing up for multiple programs.

That said, I’m really impressed with Caddle so far. (remember promo code MAPLEMONEY) In my estimation, it would be fairly easy to earn between $5 and $10 per week, or upwards of $40/month. It’s not going to cover your rent or mortgage payment, but it’s more than enough to fund your Spotify or Netflix subscription, not to mention plenty of coffee every month.

Sorry but, if Caddle pays by a cheque, a BIG NO to Caddle…. The paper cheque needs a paper and mailing (envelope and use of print/postal ticket). Actually, this are straight from our trees (cutting of trees) and completely environment unfriendly…. and eventually the paper goes to garbage lead to earth pollution. Wish Caddle had option of PayPal payout or e-Giftcard payout in this e-world! No – No- No – Avoid caddle and support environment.
